Who we are

Two offices, two jobs,one chain of custody.

Sunex Commodities is an independent soft-commodities trading house. We originate cocoa and coffee at source, move them responsibly through every link of the supply chain, and deliver graded, documented cargoes to industrial buyers across three continents.

Douala, Cameroon is our origin engine: agronomists, quality controllers and warehouse partners working alongside cooperatives and farmers. Madrid, Spain is our trading, finance and EU-compliance desk.

The journey

Every cup and every barbegins on a farm.

Between a cocoa pod in Cameroon and a square of chocolate in Madrid sit a dozen hands, three ports and a paper trail. Sunex is the link that keeps the story of the farm attached to the cargo all the way to the counter.

    It starts under the canopy

    Cocoa pods split by hand, coffee cherries picked ripe, bought at source from cooperatives and farmers we know by name.

    Fermented, dried, graded

    We follow fermentation and drying, then grade every lot (moisture, bean count, defects, cup score) against the contract.

    From load port to clearance

    Bagged, sealed and shipped on Incoterms 2020 contracts, with the full documentary pack: geolocation and deforestation-free.

    Into the roaster and the conche

    Cargoes land with roasters, grinders and chocolate makers. What they open matches the certificate they were sent.
